WEBXPERIMENTS

This is a small 'game' where you can ask the old telefoon chipknip cards about your future and have a reading. This is an incomplete experiment both in theory and in practice. I tried to write the code as in 2 different shuffling functions for two different tarot spreads. They are both clunky vanilla javascript, the best kind.

This is a graveyard experiment where I first started thinking about what is death in forums or networks. It was really interesting trying to parse the dead. I really like this experiment, I still cannot make some things work the way I wanted them to, alas.

This is basically a static-site generator I coded myself. I found out about a markup language called TEXTILE and it changed the way I looked at markdown language. I didn't know we could have our own ways of declaring. I decided it is my time to declare however I want. I made a js parser, a pyhton gatherer and you have to generate the html via the python code. I really enjoyed making this, because at the end it was so hard to remember the syntax of my chosing that I reverted back to markdown.

This is a draft of a small website, the second version of the original from 2025. I wanted to make something that allows creative thinking in belongings and ownership of artworks. I wanted it to sound like an inner voice or gossip. Could use a lot of work.

This is a form I designed to play with origins of devices. This project leans on origins and genealogies of devices, components, tech and their political histories. I decided to try to make something that can represent this in a very obvious way. I didn't know what flask is before I made this. AND inspired by this I started making a tree generator, but that is also stuck in a python phase.

On 01.07.2026, KPN will seize all xs4all home websites and they will no longer be hosted. I got the news from my friend Gilbert (van drunen) who also had one a long time ago. This local utopian dream of digital states (de digitale stad) is officially becoming dead before my eyes. As a sort of eulogy, I decided to 'save' some of the websites I found by downloading them on my computer. I made a short how-to to instruct how can one download websites through terminal, and later display them as a website.
